Anderson Issues Statement on Skill Games Legislation

October 7, 2026

HARRISBURG – Rep. Marc Anderson (R-York) today issued the following statement after the majority party in the House of Representatives pulled legislation that had bipartisan support to keep skill games across the state operational while being fairly taxed and regulated.

“I have been and will continue to be an advocate for an extension of the Oct. 13 skill games deadline set by the state Supreme Court while lawmakers work on a regulatory framework.

There were multiple legislative compromises put forward this week that would have protected our local groups but were ultimately blocked by House Democratic leadership. I am hopeful legislative leaders will eventually reach a deal that fairly regulates these machines, while allowing local organizations to continue to utilize them as a critical revenue source. Our communities deserve results, not political maneuvering.”
