Reichard, Policy Committee Host Hearing on Strengthening Industrial Competitiveness in Pennsylvania

WHAT: House Republican Policy Committee Chairman David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata), Rep. Chad Reichard (R-Franklin) and other lawmakers will host a hearing titled “Built in Pennsylvania: Strengthening Industrial Competitiveness” to examine how policymakers can ensure Pennsylvania’s regulatory environment, energy policies and infrastructure systems support — not hinder — the ability of employers to compete and grow from Pennsylvania.

Olsommer Legislation Seeks to Bring Property Tax Relief to Residents

HARRISBURG – Rep. Jeff Olsommer (R-Wayne/Pike) has introduced legislation, House Bill 2153, that would require any increase in property tax revenue from the construction of new data centers within a school district be used exclusively to fund additional Homestead/Farmstead property tax relief for district residents.

Williams Introduces Electricity Ratepayer Protection Act

HARRISBURG – Rep. Craig Williams (R-Delaware/Chester) introduced the Pennsylvania Ratepayer Protection Act. The legislation will lower electricity costs for families and small businesses while preparing the Commonwealth for the rapidly growing energy demand deriving from data center buildout and electrification across the economy.
