Lawmakers Seek to Hold Telecommunications Utilities Accountable

HARRISBURG – A group of state House lawmakers representing primarily rural areas of the Commonwealth has introduced a package of six bills aimed at holding telecommunications companies accountable to their customers. Some of the measures come in response to a series of public input hearings hosted by the Public Utility Commission (PUC) in Tioga, Bradford and Wyoming counties.

Guiding Students Around Hurdles to Employment

Federal regulations are preventing some Pennsylvania students from completing coursework and training in fields that require a commercial driver’s license (CDL). In order for students to enter a variety of careers, such as tractor-trailer mechanics, they must have their CDL. But, in order to get a CDL, one must be at least 18 years old.
