Klunk, Policy Committee Host Hearing on Child Care Affordability

WHAT:  House Republican Policy Committee Chairman David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata), Rep. Kate Klunk (R-York) and other lawmakers will host a hearing titled “Making Child Care Affordable for Pennsylvania Families” to examine how burdensome child care regulations are constraining providers, driving up costs for families, and standing in the way of workforce participation.

WHO:   Testifiers will include Sara Bradley, executive director, York Day Early Learning; Jessica Shertzer, director, Nature & Nurture Discovery School; Laura Walker, owner and operator, Caterpillar Lane Preschool; Cami Bisch, chief executive officer, YMCA Hanover; Dee Stremmel, family consumer science teacher, South Western High School; Alayna Myatt, early childhood education student; Julie Wheeler, president commissioner, York County; and a representative from the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce.
